This event is to show the community the practice spot CJSW has been providing The Breaks on a weekly bases and to also help contribute to Ontologic's Breaking-Even Fundraiser. ---------------------------------------------------- BATTLE CONCEPTS Concept 1 - Young Judges All judges choosen will be 17yrs old or younger. There will be 6 judges total rotating in groups of 3, this way we can encourage the judges to also compete. This concept is to get a fresh perspective on winning competitions as well as to build confidence in the young dancers for future battles. This is also an additional challenge to the competetitors to figure out what the judges are looking for. Concept 2 - Test Your Luck Tower Challenge Based on the video game Mortal Kombat, we will be testing your freestyle ability by adding challenges to each round that need to be completed or followed in order to not forfit the round. The MC's will be ensuring these challenges are being followed. The challenges will come in 4 different categories: -Moves you must incorperate - These are moves you must include into your set. Variations will be accpeted but the move must be clear enough. -Move you cannot do - These are moves you are not allowed to do that round and if you do your round is done and will not be judged. -Props - You must use the props as instructed in to your round. -DJ Challenge - The DJ will play around with the music given to you and you must dance to whatever the DJ plays. As the battles move foward, we will be adding more rounds and challenges per battle.
