SUMMARY:Top 8 Presents - Perform X Battle X Jam // Limerick City 2019
DESCRIPTION:Limerick street dance artists Tobi Omoteso and Deborah O'Connor curator a day-long showcase of dance styles including b-boying, contemporary, Irish dance and hip-hop. The event culminates in an exciting evening of performances and dance battles. Join in dance workshops, a graffiti artist jam and a dance exchange.

SCHEDULE

Session 1

Outdoor Demonstrations & Workshops - DJ, Graffiti, MCs, Beatbox and Dancers // 12pm - 4pm // John's Square // Free, all ages welcome, no booking required

Drop into John's Square and see top street dance and graffiti artists do their thing. Demonstrations will run continually from 1pm-4pm outside, you are welcome to come and observe or join in learning new moves and skills.

Free Open Age & Level Street Dance Workshops

Open Hip-hop Freestyle Workshop with Tobi Omoteso  // 1pm - 2pm // Dance Limerick studio // Free, open to all ages, pre-booking essential

Open Breakin' (Break-dance) Workshop with Barry Burke // 2pm-3pm // Dance Limerick studio // Free, open to all ages, pre-booking essential.

Session 2

Evening Performances & Battle // 5-7:30pm // Dance Limerick Performance space (St.John's church) // €6 online, €10 on the door

The exciting culmination of Top 8 will be showcase performances by professional street dance artists and a battle exchange and presentations (with a chance to join in!). This includes: 

- 4 Special Invite Performance (Street Dance, Irish Dance, Contemporary and Ballet)
- 1 vs 1 B-Boy & B-Girl // Prize of €100 and Clothing
- 2 vs 2 Open Style Battle // Prize of €100 Euros and Clothing
